I'm thinking more in terms of a spoof, something along the lines of "Not Another Teen Movie". But, if you have serious ideas in mind please go ahead...

Smallville. You know. The superman show. That has plenty of comic potential.

El Paso, Texas and that way we can involve those funny border patrol guards; have funny strip and searches at the border as people try to get back in the country; etc. Stuff could e ven take place right outside of town as people have to go through the checkpoints that are supposed to stop illegal aliens but are just an excuse to look for drugs.

It could be serious, too. Border issues are just different than other CSI shows. Forever, it was easy to go back and forth. Lots of us would cross into Mexico for a day of shopping or whatever. Now, with all these fears about terrorists, it's a major pain in the @ss but people still do it because we can get bargains in Mexico.

Plus we could use the drug sniffing dogs! One went nuts at a border checkpoint when my friend was taking home half her steak from the restaurant. The border patrol guys got all antsy, figuring she had drugs, until she unwrapped the steak and showed them what the dog was getting excited about.
