Before you run Disk Cleanup close all running programs.

You will need to locate disk cleanup.
Click on start
Then go to programs
Go to accessories
Then go to System Tools
Open Disk Cleanup

When Disk Cleanup opens up you can select which items you want cleaned up. I would select Temp Internet Files, Recycle Bin, and Temporary Files.
Check out the link for different operating systems.

Open my computer. Choose a drive (c or d). Right click. a popup menu will show up. choose properties.
Click on the button (Disk cleanup). A dialog box will appear, from which u will choose which files to clean by adding a chekmark beside it.
Usually u will do it to the drive in which ur Operating system is installed. So if it is ur C that has windows, u dont need to disk cleanup D or E.

Boone gave you the shortest way to it, but there's another thing. Run your antivirus and then your spyware before the cleanup and finally the defrag.
