i am standing next to a coworker at lunch when she makes a joke and i say something smart allek. for about 5-10 seconds we just stand there looking in each others eyes and i see her eyes dart back and forth looking at both my eyes and then she looks at my mouth. but then she says something back and goes back to what she was doing. we're good friends and talk a lot, but then sometimes theres these moments when we our eyes lock and theres a feeling i can't describe. is this sexual tension between us or just in my head?

this has been going on since right when we met at work at the end of october when i look over at her from across the cubicles and she looked over at me and we became instant friends along with friendly flirting.

she's single no children. we're really good friends and hang out outside of work. shes always touching me and winking at me. everyone at work knows we're good friends. i really like her a lot. yesterday when we were sitting and talking i was scowling and she looked at me and brushed her finger along my forhead. it was so soft.

It certainly sounds like that from your descriptions but we cannot tell how the coworker would describe it. Work relationships can be risky. Make certain anything you do would be away from work, even to the point of asking her about any feelings. Ask her out for coffee or a drink, after you question her alittle more about her after work relationship. Is she already married, got a boyfriend or have kids? Once you know all this, you'll know how to proceed. Use your head above any feelings. You have both of your reputations to protect, depending on how open your workplace may be to any homosexual relationships. Keep your cool and good luck.

It sounds like there's romantic chemistry, on your end at least. Make a move outside of work and see if things take off or if you were only meant to be friends.

What's it going to hurt to just ask her about it? Don't waste time worrying. If you want to know something, find it out. But before you do ask...Figure out what it means to know. Don't go in blindly.
