Well you certainly got some dipsticks answering you, Calm down dears, it's a joke !

Did you do an engine swap? The dipstick is a calibrated device that is used to tell approx. if there is enough oil in the pan to sustain engine lubrication. If yours the factory engine and factory dipstick then the problem is NOT that is isnt long enough to reach the oil, but that there is not enough oil to reach the dipstick.

Just put water in - the oil will float on top of it so the dipstick can reach it...

What kind of car it it? You might be able to go to a car dealer and get a different dipstick that belongs in your engine. For example, the six cylinder chevy vs. the eight cylinder chevy won't use the same dipstick. Whatever you find that will fit into your engine will have to be recalibrated so that you do not run your engine with too much oil or too little. Be careful with this problem, and its solution.

You dont need a longer dipstick, try topping up the oil! The dipstick is the correct length but your oil level is low!

If it is the orginal one then u dont need a longer dipstick try top up of the engine oil.

Try the tax office. There tends to be a lot of dipsticks there I find.

Have you tried topping up the oil, to reach up to your eyes.
Otherwise use your head.

In which case you either have low oil level, or you added an deeper sump oil pan, in which case, measure you dip stick, then hit te junk yards.
