How about rebuilding the UN with academics instead of politicians?

I.E. - Invite academics from every subject and from every country to attend instead of letting countries choose their representatives because they will invariably send hard-nosed politicians that only care about protecting their particular country's interests.

Wunderkind has a point, except that we KNOW that its all screwed up right so why not try the devil that we don't know.

The problem with using average everyday people is that they are NOT knowledgeable. Is it not reasonable to use educated people? Sure they have egos and they argue incessantly but so does everybody.

Fill the UN with academics and the talking without end will go on and on without a single resolution. About 5 times worse than now. The UN should be filled with every day knowledgeable people not politicians or academics.
