Well maybe you should transition from friend to boyfriend and from boyfriend to fiance'. That would be a good idea.

Take spelling classes! No, just kidding.

Don't put a ring in food. It always ends badly.

Do something mushy and romantic, like hiring a quartet to play on the street corner where after a romantic walk you come upon and drop to one knee.... (okay, slightly expensive for someone who can't spell)....

Cover her entire living room with candles, dim the lights, and when she comes home and opens the door, be waiting on one knee with a ring. If you need a way to make sure she gets there, have a single red rose delivered to her work with a note for her to meet you. It will make her the envy of the office, which is a nice bonus.

I would think that this would be the most effortless task of all. Marrying your best friend will ensure a close and long lasting relationship.
I married mine. And My wife and I have been together for 22 years and have never had a fight (seriously!)

I wouldnt suggest jumping right into proposing. She might laugh at you.

Have you all even talked about dating? Is she even interested in you in that way?

Dont get me wrong, i married my best friend of 8 years, it only took us 3 months of dating, but you definitely need to discussing being together before you "pop the question".

Wish you the best!
