I took out my tougne barbell a few months ago because of a family disagreement, but now that I'm 18, I would like to get it redone. The hole has closed up but I can still see the dent where it used to be. It didn't really hurt the first time. But I was wondering if it would be easier than the first time or harder than the first time? Or will it be just like the first time? If anyone has had their's RE pierced, can you share your experience? Thanks in advance!

I have had mine now for over 9 years and I have trained it well. I can leave mine out for over a month without it healing over.

It did once, and I had to re-pierce the bottom of the hole, but wasn't much pain or blood. I went on holidays, I forgot to take it with me. All I can suggest is that you try and go to the person that first pierced it and they might be able to do it for you (as they were the ones that done this in the first place) and are aware of the job at hand.

Good luck with this. .

You know what to expect so it's going to be just like the first time.
If you go to someone, and they say they want to repierce the hole you have, RUN FOR IT!
Someone trying to repierce scar tissue has no idea what they're doing. Not only is that incredibly painful, but trying to repierce scar tissue dulls the needle quick.
So just expect what you went through the first time. It'll be the same situation as before.
Good luck!

wen my friend had her tongue repierced, it hurt alot less than the first time and didn't swell at all. although this isn't the same for everyone, it probably wil be in your case since it didn't really hurt the first time for you. this means that the pain barrier in your tongue is high. plus an added bonus is that since u hav had your tongue pierced, the nerves where you had it pierced are going to be damaged thus making it less sore. So go for it. Hope this helps.

Sorry but it you can't spell tongue -- you shouldn't pierce it.
Yuck.
