Northeastern is not particularly tough to get into, though the school is improving its academics year-to-year, finally breaking into the US News & World Reports college rankings.

It admits 47% of applicants. On a scale of 1-5, the Fiske Guide to College ranks NU as: Academics = 2, Social = 2, Quality of Life = 2. It's strongest programs are: Business, Health Sciences, Engineering, Art, Architecture, Physchology, Computer Science and Crimonology. Schools that Fiske considers it overlaps with are: BU, U of Mass at Amherst, UConn, Syracuse, George Washington, U of New Hampshire. Just in case you want to consider some of these other schools.

I'd suggest working on getting our grades up as you head into the end of your senior year. Can't hurt to show that you aren't "letting down" ... and the 3.0 GPA isn't that impressive, unless it's unweighted and you took honors and AP courses.

Show the school you're interested, as well...take a tour, send them e-mails, etc. The fact that you have expressed interest and acted on it could just be the tie-breaker factor you need. To them, it means that you're more "likely" to accept an offer from them, vs. someone who's never been in touch with them prior to sending in an application. They are "safer" extending an offer to you vs. the higher possibility of getting rejected by the other person.

Does their application say you pick one? try the information superhighway website. don't understand what you imply via "don't have sufficient time". whether the applying itself is due on the instant, advice letters do no longer inevitably would desire to be submitted via that date. the college opens a record on your application and collects your components as they arrive in, frequently.
