Having struggled myself, I would be inclined to suggest professional help. I made weekly visits to a psychologist, who in turn referred me to a psychiatrist who prescribed an anti-depressant medication. I took the medication as directed for a period of time until the work with the psychologist allowed me to perceive the roots of the problem, work on those areas and begin to recover. I have been off the medication for a number of years and now lead a very pleasant rewarding life.

Seeing a professional is the best answer. But in the meantime, get a book called called FEELING GOOD by David D. Burns, MD. It is highly recommended by psychologists and psychiatrists and helps you understand depression and how to go about getting out of it. It is simple and user-friendly. It WILL help you feel better. It has helped me and many, many others. The author has a website www.feelinggood.com.

By re-newing your mind...with positive thoughts...for that day...look at life as a gift from God...we are not on this earth very long so, try to pull yourself out of a depression.

If you get a negative thought...replace it...with a positive thought...find things to be happy about..even the simple things...
also, being busy helps..

god bless

Don't struggle. You're aware that something is wrong, go seek some help. Go see a doctor to determine if you need medication, and seek out a therapist or support group. Good luck - you don't have to go it alone.
