Turbo diesel cars are far more econimical that non turbo older units, just look at the newer smaller cars like the corsa, fiesta
which are returning 60+mpg a lot beter than the old non turbo that would get you 45mpg driing it easily

A turbo diesel is more economical and more powerful.

A normal diesel is cheaper to buy at first, but you will not really save any money on fuel with it and the performance is not very good at all compared to a turbo diesel.

Turbos and diesel engines are two things that were born to be together.

Well non turbo diesel is but they are very sluggish,I would go with the turbo because they are in higher demand and your wallet will not see a big difference.
