I had this happened before. I paid for the item, the person cashed the check and I never recieved my item, and ebay would not do anything about it, they said it wasn't there problem. After that, I never bought nothing on ebay because I couldn't trust ebay anymore. And I still won't.

I had this happen.

They wont do anything unless 30 days have passed. After that time, you can open a claim with paypal. They will help you get your money back after they investigate everything.

The seller that gouged me stopped trading on ebay so I never did get my money back but I did win the claim. If the seller has been around for a while and has a lot of feedback, they wont want to lose that. If you win a claim, paypal will deduct whatever you paid during the sellers next transaction.

I would try to negotiate with them before you leave negative feedback though. If you havent already tried to call them I would go that route. They should have a phone number on their user info page.

Good luck

did you insure the item? can the seller prove that he sent it? The seller should have a receipt from the post office. I always make sure I get receipt's and also delivery confirmation.

Sometimes a seller inserts a disclaimer , that if the item is lost in transit, it is you loss, and he is not responsible.. I don't know if that is legal, or not.

no longer something. you could document a criticism, yet no longer something occurs. you could request a chargeback, yet no longer something occurs. answer? do no longer handle eBay or PayPal. they are the two scammers, and are not regulated through the government.
