Just cause the brain is small does not mean it's stupid. We use 10% of our brain, how big does that make the used area, like a plum. Point 2: Parrots and Cockatoos, their brain is very small, but these animals are capable of imitating speech. Third point: cats and dogs, small brains, but very smart. Dogs can obey complicated commands, and can show emotions. Cats, although stubborn and snobby, understand what you tell them. And most animals understand how the world works better than we do. Example: There was one of the largest earthquakes in California, before it happened wild animals (deer, bears, etc...) were running through the town trying to get away.
What proof is there that dinosaurs are so stupid then?

Do I have the site for you!!!
Before I give you the web address, let me give you some background.
In the early 1930's a wealthy German moved to a village about 130 miles from Mexico city. One day while he was riding he spotted a small ceramic figurine. He soon found more. These figurines come from an nation of people that lived from 200BC to 800AD. Soon the whole village was looking for figurines. As of now about 50,000 figurines have been unearthed. Many of then are very pornographic. However hundreds of them are of dinosaurs. Now the very odd thing is, that there are no dinosaur graveyards anywhere nearby. Since the first dinosaur fossils were not seen until the early 1800's, how did these people know what they looked like. In addition, the way the dinosaurs moved was captured correctly by those that produced the figurines. for example, there is one type of dinosaur that we believed until recently walked on all fours. We have just realized that they could walk on two feet. Sure enough the figurines had these animals walking on two feet. In addition, there are figurines that indicate that dinosaurs were domesticated. If this is so then they were not stupid.
The Mexican government has just finished erecting a museum to display these finds
On the other side of the world, in Cambodia are the temples of Ankor Wat. The civilization that built the temples vanished about 1000AD. On one of the pillars that hold up the temple, there are carvings of local animals. Included is the carving of a stegasaurus. Again there are no dinosaur graveyards anywhere nearby. How did these people know what a stegasaurus looked like?
Note: the Dinosaur artwork is part of a lecture series taken at McMaster University in Hamilton Canada, several years ago. The video is not of professional quality and is very grainy. The still pictures are quite good. The presenter is Don Patton Ph.d (Geology) In addition, Don has photos of dinosaur tracks and human tracks running side by side. He has also uncovered 10 fossil humans. However since they were found in the same layer as dinosaurs, evolutionists call it all a hoax.
I hope that you enjoy

First of all, the "we only use 10% of our brains" claim is definitely not true. I am not sure why it is repeated so often, but I dare you to find a reliable source that makes this claim. To refute it I will send you to any neurologist, neurobiologist, neurosurgeon.... Also, the book "Another Day in the Frontal Lobe" discusses this myth briefly.
I have heard it suggested that what matters is not size, but brain size-to-body size ratio. The percent of our bodies, by mass, which can be attributed to our brains is larger than any other species. I don't know that the ratio explanation is true, but I have heard it proposed.
All you need to imitate speech is the correct vocal machinery. Parrots do not understand what they are saying. Vocalization without understanding is a far cry from the intelligence possessed by humans... and by other primates, for that matter.
Dinosaurs, it appears, were in many ways similar to modern day reptiles. This is one basis for comparison. I am not a dinosaur neurobiologist, but I suspect as well that dinosaurs possessed no speech cortex. The entire prefrontal cortex is unique to humans and dinosaurs were missing more than that.
That being said, "proof" is a strong word, and "stupid" is a relative word. Still I cannot imagine how dinosaurs might have been superintelligent beings.

There are many species of dinosaurs - and the average brain size among them is certainly much larger than the 'size of a peanut'. It's virtually impossible to conject about dino mental capacity with the information we have from fossils....

I believe that the dinosaurs being stupid was an old belief along with the fact that they had small brains.

The intelligence of a being isn't measured by it's brain size but by how many grooves there are it the brain. Example if the dinos had smooth brains they we relatively stupid, but if they had a lot of grooves and indents they were intelligent. Who ever told you they were stupid wasn't around in that time and shouldn't make that judgment.

Who ever said they were stupid????
You seem pretty convinced that they were, they weren't.......
They were no more stupid than other lower vertebrates today, sure they wont win the Nobel prize for astrophysics, but they were driven by instinct, like all other animals.....
I don't understand what you are asking.......No one ever said they were stupid to begin with.....

it is not a case of stupid due to their hearing powers they were able to hear the earthquake or due to their extreme sense organs they were able to feel it.
Dinosaurs just didnt have the time to escape.
There are many theories relating to the death of a dinosaur.
so we cant tell
