Developed in the Early Dynastic period.Amun, also Atum,
was one of the principal Gods of Ancient Egypt.
The name means "Hidden One".
The aspect of Amun belonged to the Ra or Re cult,of solar worshippers. He was also referred to as the"Greatest of Heavens,Eldest of Earth".
At dawn the sun was called Kephri,by day Ra and by night Amun.
Atum could be depicted in reliefs and paintings in paintings in human form with the double crown of Egypt on his head.
Or else as a handsome virile young man,or as a ram headed man with curled horns.
He travelled the underworld or Amduat in his solar barque.during the night. Facing many diverse dangers.
In the morning the individual hourly prayers for the twelve hours of the night, recited by his priests were answered.
As he again rose in the form of Khephri .Renewed and the cycle repeated itself again.
It was when Thebes began to exert power during the New Kingdom that Amun's cult was greatly elevated in status.
Amun was declared to have given birth to himself,by his priests. Through politics and priests,it was stressed that no other God had ever had such power.
The Pharaoh Ahmose 1,set the precedent for the New Kingdom. By his generosity to Amun and his priests,in gratitude for his victories in war.
This became a pattern that was to be followed by increasing costly gifts and donations to the Temples of Amun and its priests.
The priests of Amun, became increasingly powerful. In Thebes and throughout Egypt.
It is likely that they played a large part in ensuring the crowning of the great female Pharaoh Hatsheput, who carried the title Gods Wife of Amun.
Amun was given a consort by his priests at Thebes, the Goddess Mut and a son Khonsu.
The ram a symbol of the God's true spiritual powers and virility was kept at Thebes.During religious ceremonies the ram embodied the energies of the God.

The gods statue would be taken across the Nile.
Ritual meals and celebrations were held and mortuary offerings set before the tombs of the dead.
To obtain a papyrus that depicts the image of Amun, try a speciality shop that dead in prints of famous paintings. They may be able to order one for you if not in stock.

There is a web site called "The Virtual Khan". It is based in the U.S.A. and imports all things Egyptian including papyrus paintings.
They have an on-line purchase service. You will definitely find what you are looking for through them.
You can buy hand painted "papyrus". But they are very expensive. The screen prints and those with printed outline, that is hand filled with paint are just as good. Unless you are a collector.
There is no longer any actual papyrus used. Banana leaves that are processed to appear like the old papyrus are what you buy these days.
The papyrus plant is almost extinct in Egypt and only grew wild in

at the same time as they the two are imaginary characters, and you're loose to think of up besides the fact that fanfic you want, the myth of Lucifer did no longer originate with the myth of Amun-Ra. Amun-Ra is from historical Egyptian mythology, and the character Lucifer become invented while the translators of early English Bibles mangled the interpretation of an honorific identify given to a prince of Babylon. A individual.
