that it's become such a huge fashion trend? I was just reading a list of the best fashion trends that occured in 2006 and black nail polish was at the top of the list. A rep from Chanel was saying that it was their hottest selling makeup item. They couldn't keep it on the shelves because it was selling so fast. I've been wearing black nail polish for over 10 years, not to mention all the goths and lolitas out there who have been constantly wearing it. Well, I guess if you wear what you like, it always becomes a trend again some day.

Yes, and yes. and did you notice how last year there was so much "Darkly romantic" fashion, yet the purveyors of such vehemently denied it as being gothic, or goth-inspired? www.gothic-charm-school.com has a very good article about it.

It doesn't matter what's a fashion trend right now. People will get over it in a few years and you'll be left to be queen of Black nailpolish.
Don't get so uppity over a trend that involves something you like. Really the only person that can come on here claiming something on nailpolish would be someone from Egyptian times. I'd say they could have a strong opinion over what's "their" thing.
Maybe if you want to be unique again, switch to midnight blue. I usually just use really dark colors personally. I like variety.

Eh clothing trends don't annoy me, but band trends do. I always like a band, and then a year or 2 later everyone finally hears about them and the band gets popular and sells out. o-o That annoys me like you have no idea.

black nailpolish and black eyeliner is so popular in my small town,you have to ask for it because so many kids shop lift it.
I never thought i would be buying nail polish or make up ,,eye liner for my son,,,,,emo not gay. But once he wore the eye liner i said nooooooooooooooo,,no more.i draw the line at the nail poilish,,

i hate that black nail polish is popular now....i have extreme issues with any kind of trend ( i always start liking something and then it becomes popular to a bunch of noobs)
