Why keep generals on staff if they don't want to win

have you ever been in a combat zone, or been an officer in charge of troops in a combat zone? if not, think about the wieght of responsiblity for all those men and women, then think about that wieght over an extended period of time, leaning on you all day, pressing against you for months at a time.
bush consults with his generals and officers until he feels they are either too weary or possibly lost focus from,,, lets say maybe the pressure, or something else. to be in charge of a war zone, you cant possibly understand it if you havent been to one, is an unimaginable thing. jsut be happy we have a president that is willing to make these changes as necessary.

Because there are not telling him what he wants to hear. They are now saying that we need to get out of Iraq because his term is coming to an end and they're trying to be good with the person who is going to be the next president. A democrat.

Ah, another History Class failure. Take a look back;

WWII - How many times were Generals moved around, fired or transferred?

WWI - Same thing.

Civil War - How many Generals did Lincoln go through before he found Grant?

Revolutionary War - Same thing.

It's business as usual. "I voted for it before I voted against it" is flip-flopping, not changing commanding officers

When you have an agenda as all leaders have, you must have people under you that will get you want you want. A war is not something that every upper management can do his own thing. He is leading. Live with it.

He replaces them with people that will agree with him. Don't forget the President holds "loyalty" the most important quality of his staff. Honesty probably doesn't even factor in to the picture.

Because they tell him things he doesn't want to hear.

Psychopaths like Bush are funny that way. Reality scares them to death.

who said he was firing them? He is shuffling people around. If you think this is a personal thing you are sadly mistaken. This is standard management practice.

When you have the audacity to tell Bush the truth.....you are fired.
Sure the White house can say they were reassigned, but in reality they have been marginalized.
