Ice ages come on a regular basis around every 10,000 years. We do not know why, we just know that they DO. This time, again we do not know why, the NEXT ice age is long past due. So it will come, eventually. And they say global warming will have no effect on it. What we do to the earth is like a gnat's damage. The weather system of the earth is a LOT BIGGER than anything we could, or could not, do to the earth.

And since we are guessing here; we THINK the next ice age will come slowly, over many, many years. NOT freeze up everything in a week, like in the movies.

Hope this helps.

As the occurance of ice ages is related to a decrease in carbon dioxide concentration in the atmosphere, the answer is no: there won't be any ice age in the short term. Moreover, the concentration of carbon dioxide has never ever been that high on earth (this is easily analyzed by foraging the ice in Antarctica), which leads to meteorological patterns that were never observed before.
However, if the Gulf Stream stopped spinning, it is possible that Great Brittain and North West Europe experience violent snow storms in the winter, while the rest of the planet will slowly turn to hotter an dryer.

Personally I think the major concern is in a few million years eventually the world will eventually run into the sun destroying our planet.

I'm not to affraid of another Ice Age. Besides the only reason why it happend in the first place was for a whole seperate MAJOR reason. It didn't just happen out of nowhere.

Probably in several centuries.
I hope not in the next 75 years.
I like the warming trend to where summer will prevail.
