Yes - I see people on my street "disabled" and riding those scooters with the motors on them. These people claim they will die if they have to get up and walk - much less work. But - holler down the street about a big sale at the Wal-Mart - and they jump off the scooters, cram them in the trunk of their cars, and off they drive to shop. If you follow them - some even leave the scooter in the trunk to shop as it is just too hard to "keep up apparances" when you have to get a 250 pound scooter in and out of the trunk. Guess it is time to tell them about medicare assistance for purchasing disability vans.

I am not involved with medicare yet. My thought is that I have seen people get those jazzy automated wheelchairs that don't really qualify. I understand that medicare is cracking down on the manufacturers that run the ads saying they will do all the paper work and the patient will get the jazzy chair free.

0 it is abused way too much there needs accountabilty my brother is in a nursing home he has no teeth but medicare was charged for 2 tubes of toothpaste just last month 1example of about 100000000

4- its needs alot of help-S.S.I. fraud-co-payments for the elders , they cannot afford, and if you hide all your stuff in your kids name, who are you really cheating
