Congratulations to them. I do believe that is rare. My parents divorced after 6 years because of some extremely unusual circumstances. Neither of them are married now 58 years later however they both attend family gatherings and have been doing so for the duration of our lives. They have three children together and we are all in our 50's. My husband's parents were married for 65 years until his Mom passed on and then his Dad lived till 96 and had a girlfriend.

Correction: Are your parents still married?
No. They were married for 38 years before Dad got sick and died.

Mine divorced when I was six. They got married 10 years before I was born, so it means they lived 16 years married. Sadly, they divorced.
