I realize there is no accounting for taste, and that personal taste is just that- personal- but I have noticed in my town in Germany that, whenever I see black G.I.s with German women, the women are always very heavy set, and, in terms of appearance and behaviour, what we would call here "from the other side of the tracks". My girlfriend and I are always amazed to see these very fit, handsome looking men walking around town with their German girlfriends. It is a small town, so maybe there are not many women who speak English, and so they don't have too many to choose from. But do the black men prefer these kinds of women? Is it the same in the U.S.? Thank you.

I was stationed in Munich from 88-91 and Stuttgart from 02-05 and I have to say in my experience, that is what I saw as well.
I speak fluent German so I had no problem. But my black friends would seem to gravitate towards girls that were somewhat...(how to say it nicely?) larger.
That being said, we're speaking in generalities. I had a black friend once who dated a South African white girl who lived in Germany as an au pair. She was fine.
You're going to have guys who are different. So you can't say ALL black men like large white women. I'm retired from the Army now, but while in I had black friends there and here who liked slender white women.
My suggestion? If you're interested in a guy, don't let him being a black GI (who may not speak German) stop you. Go for it. Don't think just because you may be slender, he won't be into you.

yeah i have a friend that married a black guy in the forces and shes not exactly skinny. its just a taste thing. dont sweat urself over it. i dated an american and a german guy at the same time an i wish id chosen the german with hindisight. less arrogant and far better mannered. Happy hunting.

For whatever reason black men seem to gravitate towards huge white women.
It is a little odd.
Some of those men are fine and could do a whole lot better.

Yep, same thing here. They like "thick" girls. (Not, all of them ya know) but the ones I know do!
I dont think anyone can answer that except for a GI, but...I made an observation!!
