sibling rivalry starts very young and can last well into adulthood...i believe it's an expression on the part of one or both siblings to express their insecurities with themselves....i'm 45 and i have a sibling with whom i have challenges because he thinks i'm a threat to him...frankly i don't care, but to him it's a big deal

My daughter is likewise 4, and he or she at present began utilising the words "lifeless", etc. one factor is amazingly sparkling, she would not understand what the words imply. A 4 3 hundred and sixty 5 days previous isn't as previous as i presumed it grew to become into earlier I had little ones. My wager is, this baby merely needs re-direction. try telling her what she is surely feeling, with out utilising the words offended/mad or upset. so which you're able to say, you're unhappy and annoyed because of the fact Grandma won't permit you play with that toy top now, are not you? Then supply her extra useful ideas for a thank you to precise herself. She would pick a cooling off time to recover from her anger earlier she does respond. stable success. Cheers, Sarah

We did when we were younger. We don't anymore. My brother is 47 and I am 45. By the time I was 16, he was playing the very protective big brother and all rivalry pretty much ceased.

My younger half sister always hated me, was always attempting to outdo me, until eventually she was able to get me to break contact with the family altogether rather than face anymore of her underhanded ways of making me out to be a lesser person than her. With a mother that always sided with her no matter what she did, I was on a lost cause and I haven't seen them for 18 years, except one time in town when my sister was in the same shop and I said "I'd like to come see you?" Her reply was "IF you're round that way". I took that to mean, "don't go out of your way", I had long since stopped placing myself where I was not wanted and still at 49 years of age, have no intentions of doing so.

My sister and i still do. She is 51 yrs and i am 50.
She still thinks i'm Mom's 'favorite'. I guess she got this attitude because before she was a year old, i developed double pneumonia and quit breathing. So she saw all the attention i was getting and assumed it was because our mother 'loved' me more. I guess it's understandable - a child spells love, T-I-M-E.

Me and my sister used to fight a lot when we were younger but not anymore because we're both adults and we grew out of it.

Nope - it's just me and my brother and he's 5 years older than me, so he has always been more of a father figure to me.
