the reason i've asked this question is because i know someone who has married there internet girlfriend after about 10 or 11 months after they started going out with each other

An internet relationship is only a start. If it goes on for a long time, you're living in a dream world. Do a reality check soon after you become comfortable with the person online. People do tell fibs, y'know.

Internet relationships are sort of life long distance relationships they both take alot of work you have to be very honest with the person you want to have a relationship with people tend to lie over the Internet

I think that if 2 people whom are chatting online are totally upfront and honest...(YES even the bad things are told)...good relationships can form online...i have had 2...one lasted 3 years..and the other 4!!
