no they dont have tellys and they dont have music!
none of them have, that was the whole point of the chain, that people can go in to peaceful pub, and also the other main point was some dont have smoking, and certainly all have no smoking at the bar! (im in england who dont have a ban yet)

Most Wetherspoons do indeed show football matches in their bars, however, most are also subject to noise reduction orders and will not have sound on the TV, leaving only subtitles for the commentary.
I would suggest a non-chain pub, much more of an atmosphere. Also they usually advertise if they have a game on.

They show football in selected larger pubs. The original principle was not to have any television, but of course as soon as their profits started to tumble they swallowed their principles.
Liverpool V Arsenal should be on in Wetherspoons in most large town centre pubs.

Lloyd's bars have TVs for music. Other Wetherspoons often have TVs now but with no sound. Except when a big match is on (eg World Cup). Lincoln's had the Man U/Villa match yesterday with sound up

i think some of them do, but the one near to where i live stopped showing football because it caused too many fights.
