I,as a lady from the USA,look at some of the questions that my countrymen and women post here on UK Yahoo, and cringe.I hope you realize that we are not all so ignorant.

Well I think it would be hard for most Britons without interacting with us to know if we are ignorant or not. I mean look at who we voted in as president.....mmmm thinking about it that way I guess we might seem a bit off.

Wow Lourdes that should qualify you for entry in most phd. programs.
Just when we had them fooled.

Of course not! I do not believe in generalising and stereotyping. There is good and bad in everyone, whatever country they come from. I am sure that alot of English will also not judge most Americans by the few who let their country down. There are also people from the U.K. who post awful things on here. I worry about the stereotypes that have developed from the actions of our hooligan football (soccer) players, who go abroad and reek havoc. But I do realize that the intelligent ones will know what is fact. Dont cringe anymore my American friend, have a good day!
All the best :o) x

The cause and effect relationship here is very clear. Americans, in particular, aren't very circumspect. They don't think before they speak. They are not overly (or maybe even adequately) concerned with whether they appear boorish or naive or oafish. Having not read much or paid attention in school, they do come out with the dumbest things about half the time.

What would a person who was born yesterday say? Ask any American.

I am the first to criticise many aspects of America, but yes, I am fully aware that some of the questions and answers on here are not representative of all Americans.

Greetings from London, England.

of course your not all idiots, im english and some of the english questions are pretty ludicrous. there are a a lot of people on here with peculiar opinions and senses of humour, but i supose thats what makes the world a diverse and interesting place. i think you just got to take a lot of it with a pinch of salt

well only an Idiot would say that if one or two(maybe even more:)) Americans are somewhat ignorant, all Americans are ignorant.
generalization is just a childish and limited behavior.
