Well, I have a myspace and I don't see anything wrong with it.
There are always risks with the internet, and so even if she isn't on myspace, there is still a risk.
Myspace is really just a social community. I had my account as an open account, and then as a closed one (friends only). Most of my friends have a myspace, and it was a way to correspond freely.
I can see the dangers with having a myspace, although, there are still dangers with everything. If your daughter understands the dangers of the internet, and doesn't do anything bad (posting provocative pictures, calling out for attention in a bad way), which I'm sure she won't =P, but I don't know your daughter, only you do. If she knows internet responsibility then myspace should be just another social site for her. I'm sure at the age of fifteen she should be able to have a myspace. So long as she takes care of herself, and doesn't speak to anyone she doesn't know, or give out information or anything like that, as well as having a PRIVATE profile, she should be fine.
I've always been, so let's hope everything goes well. If you do decide to let her have one.

No Sir!! She s 15 and you should spend some time with her because soon she will be driving everywhere with her friends. There are also old men, and I have seen them in person, hooking up with girls like yours with fake pictures!! I would never let my child get a MySpace.

People, why are you suggesting that he spy on his daughter? I'd be pissed if I found out my parents were spying on me. If he trusts her, then he should let her have one. If not, then he won't. Simple as that. And dude, if you spy on her, she'll find a way to not let you. And if you block that site, she'll find a way around that. Trust me!

I would say yes- However I would check it once twice a week. You can do that without her knowing- If you don't like whats shes put tell her- My mom does that with my 14 year old sister, the fear of her checking means shes good about it. Warn her of the dangers of the internet though.

Yes, because she should be able to have her own space, but it is really up to you because it can be dangerous to her. You just need to keep track and watch what she is doing.

Sure, but have her set it so that only people who are on her friend's list can view it.

IT DEPENDS ON HOW CLOSELY YOU MONITOR HER ACTIVITIES ON LINE AND WHERE THE COMPUTER IS KEPT. IF IT IS IN HER ROOM AND SHE IS ON LINE WITHOUT YOUR KNOWLEDGE, I WOULDN'T. IF YOU TWO SIT DOWN TOGETHER AND WORK ON IT TOGETHER AND IT IS IN LET'S SAY FRONT ROOM WHERE THE SCREEN CAN BE SEEN, THAN I MIGHT.
