As a former Republican, I can say the Republicans in power were the wicked. They were destroying our country that is now facing a catasrophic economic meltdown once tax revenues slow, as the will. Some examples: The huge increases in spending on "earmarked" projects they embedded in legislation so they can get re-elected; they love power. They supported a massive increase in the size of government during their reign. No problem now with tax reveunues up 10% a year last two years. But in time the economy will slow down sharply; we are already seeing signs of the crash with the steep fall in commodity prices--oil and copper way down due to low demand. This copper drop strongly suggests the economy shall crash due to low demand for copper in housing, cars, etc. Your party created a government that sucks up nearly 50% of the economy--it is a Monster--that takes freedom and money away from families.

Our political system encourages massive government spending, as pols of any party use taxpayer funds to bribe voters prior to an election. Nobody wants THEIR government programs cut, just the programs of someone else, especially those benefitting poor persons in any way. The Middle Class unfortunately has sacrificed its moral code for Desperate Housewives and a few government benefits, and has become addicted to "what's in it for me."

I would think anyone who considers themselves a fiscal conservatives would be outraged by the record domestic spending. The pork barrel spending is out of control. Anyone who would blindly support a President JUST because they are affiliated with that party makes No sense to me. It shows their true colors. If you consider record spending and massive deficits a good thing then you should be happy. We need more than just campaign rhetoric from our leaders.
The comment that "You are not a former Republican say's it all"
This means blindly follow the party and forget the reality. Too much Rush and Sean propoganda out there.

Is it easy! They made the bill but left it to the democrats to figure out where to get the monies to pay for the bill. That's what you call no fiscal responsibility. This way the can blame the democrats for tax hikes etc.

lets see, GWB made a bill that limits government spending, he gave back 1.4 trillion dollars to the people, gave tax cuts to the middle class while the rich are paying 90% of the taxes in this country, he spending money on a war every day, and look at our economy we r having a stronger economy under GWB than clinton

clinton fired 1 million workers in his last 2 years, had the biggest tax hike in american history, didnt spend any money he got from taxes, he didnt even spend it on social programs like democrats do and he never even gave money to our national defense but yet he gave money to the terrorist jsut like all of the democrats do now
