Brees of the Saints this year,.. but best overall (as in best active lifetime)... you've got to go with either Manning, Farve, Palmer, Brady or McNabb.

He's not overrated at all. He is getting a little better every year, and it would help if Shockey could hang on to the ball a little more often. Eli will certainly be in the league in 5 years. While he will never be as good as Peyton, it's not like he's garbage. He threw 24 touchdown passes in both '05 and '06. He also had four in Week One, and would have had two more today if Shockey had been able to hold onto one near the goal line. A lot of quarterbacks struggle because they make bad decisions. Eli's problems are more mechanical, which means they can be corrected. The Giants defense stinks, but they have some good receivers, so Eli should pile up some pretty good stats this season. I just hope that in five years, the Giants will have some sort of defense.

Tom Brady. There are a lot of good QB's but currently he is the one with the hardware that counts...big game player and 3 time Super Bowl champion. That is the true mark of greatness.
10-1 lifetime playoff record (best ever), and has done it over his career with re-tread receivers, not a single Pro Bowl receiver during his remarkable run. If people love numbers or styling QB's (flavor of the week, if you will then pick the Garcia, Romo, Young, etc.) then make your choice. As a fan all I want is my team to win Super Bowls and without a top QB it cant be done.

The Ring is the ONLY THING that matters!!!!!!!!!

No way its Peyton Manning. Everyone says it is but its not. Peyton Manning is doing bad right now. He may have been last year but not this year.Rex Grossman. HA! if you said that here is a little reminder, 0.00 passer rating and thats not a lie! Damon Haurd. Possibly. But I have to say Jeff Garcia. He has stepped in and has become a great leader. Even better then Donavon Mcnabb. Besides Jeff Garcia is the reason the Eagles are in the playoffs!

Peyton Manning has been the best for a few years now. His defense sucks, but his constant march down the field usually makes up for it. His stats are on pace to break all of Marino's career records. He'll do it if he can stay in the game as long.

Tom Brady of the Pats is no. 1 and Peyton Manning is no. 2. If the colts manage to hire a real defensive line for next year, Peyton may become the greatest ever. Peyton is the young lion waiting to dominate. Brady still sits on top for now.

The best starter is easily Drew Brees with the saints, and I think the best backup is a tie between Matt Schaub and Billy Volek, either one of those guys could start for quite a few teams (Browms, Bears, Ravens, Raiders...etc)

This is a No Brainer.....PEYTON MANNING!
This guy is the most prepared QB in the league. Every coach in the league will tell you he is like having an offensive coordinator in the the huddle.
