Most importantly: Drink lots of water every day!

Exfoliate twice a week with a scrub, and use a moisturizer with sunscreen. On your body you can use a body cream with added shimmer, glow or tint if you wish. Vitamin E oil can be terrific, and if you wish, it wouldn't hurt to take a multi-vitamin.

Drink your water!

Exfoliate your skin regularly. You don't have to use those fancy scrubs, just use natural loofah to gently exfoliate your skin every night. Apply you moisturizer in a circular motion so that it's well absorbed and increase blood flow. I recommend including illuminating powder/bronser/cream in your daily makeup. Apply it lightly on cheekbones, nose bridge, and above your eyebrows for that dewy and glowy look. If you don't have these things, just use white shimmery eyeshadow. Try it!

I'm not sure how to help you body-wise, but they do make bronzing powder for the face to give it a nice glow. I'm sure you can find that in most stores that sell makeup.

Drink lots of water and clean your skin and keep it moisterized. I am also dark and I drink two liters of water and use Mary Kay products to clean and moisterize my skin. You don't need any lightener creams.
