I'd vote for Mahatma Ghandi. The British Raj was ruled from 1599, through the East India Co., which controlled the world's opium traffic and controlled salt in India--I guess, forcing the population to pay a tax on it to the British. In 1942, Ghandi lead the peoples' disobedience march to the sea for 248 miles! Demanding that the British "Quit India!" Once at the ocean they took salt, necessary for life, FREE!

He lead the entire nation to defy the British, lead the liberation of women, brotherhood, end to untouchables and the caste discrimination in India. ALL in non-violenent leadership! The people endured beatings from the British soldiers, deprivation and terrible hardship, non-violently in Ghandi's reverence for life!

I'd say he's the greatest psychologist in India and the world.
