I believe it had something to do with the goddess, Juno, after whom the month is named. She was the wife of Zeus and the patron of marriage. It is also a generally mild weather time in most places, making it somewhat ideal for weddings

a lot of people liked june because it was warm, but not really too hot unless you live somewhere thats always hot. but where I'm from thats why it was so popular. personally i dont like the summer months for weddings. being indoors for a wedding in the summer is just depressing and being outdoors means bugs and heat. I got married in march so that being inside was not a big deal as it was snowing on my wedding day, not many people marry in march and we enjoy our anniversary when we get a hotel room and can take a walk outside usually in some snow.

Because there are nothing going on that month. The commercial society we live in tells us we need to come up with something to get Americans to spend their money every month of the year.
January- new year
Feb-valent day
March- st. patricks
April- spring break
May- graduation gifts
July- 4th
August- back to school shoppin
sept- labor day weekend
october- halloween
nov/dec- thksgiving, christmas

Hello =)
Because most weddings were "outdoor events", up until WWII, and not held inside catering halls. June is the first month that you can pick a date and have the odds in your favour that it will not rain.

Due to the weather! Usually not too hot, or too cold!
