I have a appointment today to have my nails done, I am wanting to get the french tip look. Does this hurt? I have read other answers on here and they say it can be painful. Do you have your nails done? and if so any advice! I know I can buy fake ones at walmart but I wanted to pamper myself, Thanks

The reason I say it hurts is because I was told it hurts when they push on the cuticles and I have enven heard that they bleed

Define hurt.

Gel nails give a stinging effect when you place your nails under the uv lamp for a few seconds. To ease the stinging you should press your fingers down. This confuses the nerve endings and the stinging eases considerably.

Acrylic nails don't hurt at all.

Where it can be very painful is if the nail technician is over enthusiastic when it comes to the blending of the tip and then the filing of the product. There is no need for hard filing so there is no need for the pain.

What to do is advise your nail tech that you have very sensitive nails. If you start to feel ANY discomfort while being filed tell the tech immediately because discomfort goes to pain very quickly. Having said that, as son as the filing stops the pain stops too.

Stick with acrylics, tell the technician your fears, relax and look fabulous! It will be worth it.

This is a crazy question. Having your nails done doesn't hurt in any way. How could polishing or airbrushing french tips possible cause any pain. Go to the shop, relax and enjoy the pampering.

I LOVE to have my nails done i go every two weeks (im going today!) it doenst hurt at all. The french tip is great you can either get it air brushed on or they even now have nail tips that are white and they just use those .. i think the airbrush is cheaper. Wal mart nails dont look as good .. i say go for it ! It's fun, gets you away from whatever you need to be away from .. its YOUR time!.. have a good day!

I have been getting my nails done since I was in middle school. It all depends on the tech that is doing your nails. Sometime the filing can be painful. But otherwise it doesn't hurt. It feels good to go and sit down and let them cater to you. Hope you enjoy.

Why don't you go to English class instead? Maybe you won't sound so stupid.

"I am wanting to have my nails done today"

Who taught you to speak like that?

"I have a appointment today"

AN appointment.

"French" and "Walmart" are capitalized, unless you're purposely not capitalizing your words. You do capitalize some words though.

"I have enven heard that they bleed"

even.

No, it doesn't hurt at all! It's very nice and relaxing, the woman who will be doing your nails will also give you a hand message at the end . I love the french tip look, it's very elegant for any occasion.

If you are worried then dont get the cuticles done! Also, you can ask them to stop if it begins to hurt. I used fake ones and it came with a pointy stick which you used to push cuticles back, but it didnt hurt! Ask them to stop if it hurts, or just dont let them touch your cuticles!
