I am looking to go to Vermont for my first time with my Fiance. We want to eventually move there, or out east somewhere. We would like your help on helping us pick a 5 star resort in Vermont that comes highly recommended. We also need some help finding places to go and things to do and see. So if you can PLEASE help us and give me any feedback you can i would really appreciate it. We would plan on going in September or October, next fall.

Thanks so much!!

I camped while I was there, but it's a beautiful state.

Check out hotels around the capitol, Montpelier. That's your best bet for a 5-star.

Hi, i would like to make a suggestion:) if i were you i would go to or near Burlington they have allot of stuff to do, it close to NY and Lake Champlain. Vermont is a beautiful state as are all the New England states.
I personally like the Holiday Inn on rt 7 in Ruthland mostly because of the indoor pool and the hot tubs:) i looked up the number if you would like more info1-800-462-4810

Consider going to Stowe (upper Northeast)
For a vacation during the summer, perhaps Basin Harbor club in Vergennes, but I wouldn't want to live there.

Another great place to live and travel around would be Manchester, VT. Stay at any number of places (perhaps the Equinox, a former grand hotel), travel to places like Weston and Chester and lots of small towns in the area.

I vacationed in Vermont B&Bs several years ago. I have never met any ruder people and I traveled the entire length of the state. I've traveled a lot and had wonderful experiences and met the most lovely people everywhere I've been but there. I never saw a smile or friendly face. I couldn't recommend it to anyone.

I just went to the Killington Resort last week to go skiing for Christmas.
It was pretty nice, and pretty popular.
so if you're into winter sports, skiing up there in Vermont is nice.

like all new england states
cold most of the year and kind of rainy too like the real ENGLAND is. it has trees, hills, a few mountains, and some times snow...
not much but open spaces and green, if you go when there is snow at least there is something to do, go snow skiing and pick up snow bunnies...
in the fall you need to go when the leaves change, a week before or a few weeks after and you miss the whole thing...Wow tow weeks a year
sorry but tome it is all depressing..

well have fun,
good luck
try to smile

My lifelong friend went to college there and had to leave, he said most of the people there were stuck up, elitist yuppies. I had a similar experience when I went to Massachusetts.
