Don't try to make something happen that isn't ready to happen. I have had two children, but both pregnancy and delivery were completely different. The baby will get into position when he/she is ready. Your body will know what to do. Being panicky is not good for the baby. Walking is always good, and as always - drink a ton of water! It's good for both you and the baby. You could take a swim (if you have an indoor heated pool this time of year) - and only if swimming is something your doctor approves of - but the best advice is don't panic. That will only make things worse. The baby can feel when you are stressed. Just take it easy. If the doctor told you that the baby's head isn't in a good position and they are going to do a c-section, try all of those things that I mentioned. Also, ask your doctor about having sex to help things along. Seriously. I don't know that I could do it, but if in your position, I'd be willing to ask my doctor about anything!

Well don't panic because you haven't began to dilate just yet someone women go two weeks over their due date before they start to dilate of have any contractions, even irregular ones. Walking helped me when i was pregnant with my first. I was past my due date and was a little worried about how much longer i could handle being so exhausted from being pregnant. I went to the mall and walked for two hours the next night my contractions started. Still my cervix stopped dilating at a 1cm so when i got to the hospital they decided to give me Potosum to help me along, get things started. You still have another week until 40 weeks so don't start losing it just yet! Walk as much as you can and hopefully this will help get your baby and body ready for the big day.

Why on earth would you panic? A DUE DATE IS AN ESTIMATE! A normal pregnancy is anywhere from 38-42 weeks! You could still have 3 weeks left. Babies come when they are ready- and nothing you can do will make the baby decide to come. Just relax and enjoy your last few weeks of naps!

I wouldn't panic at all. None of my 4 boys "dropped" into position. I had the first 3 natural & my last boy I did need a c-section, but all went well. You can walk to try to bring it down, sometimes it will just talk labor & pushing to do the job.
Good luck! :)

Why would you panic? What you can do is to let nature take it's course and do nothing. Your baby will be born when it's time. Until then, enjoy your last few weeks of sleep and quiet.

Your life is about to change forever.

you should relax. take a warm bath then get up and go for a nice walk. have sex or sit and talk with your hunny about the baby and how excited you are. nipple stimulation or sitting in the bathtum with the water flowing over your nipples should bring on stimulation enough to get your contractions going!!! good luck

Walk as much as possible. Gravity is your friend during this point in pregnancy.
