We should not encourage goverments to restrict a religous belief.

As I understand it, manichesism, as a religion, is more or less extinct. Since manicheism attempted to include all faiths existing at the time of its emergence, I wonder if you are referring to the current trend of blending various faith traditions ~ trying to create new, all-inclusive religions. If so, my answer would have to be that governments should not be in the business of promoting or oppressing any faith.

Since governments have NO business being in the business of deciding which religions are of value, I would say that this is not a consciousness to try and bring to them!
