I had a boyfriend for a while, but found it cummbersome to always inform someone of what I'm doing; where I'm going, etc. ( Things that a couple should do) I don't even like romantic moments.

So I broke it off. It got me thinking wherether I will remain single forever due to me being an only child. I have 100% of my parents' love. Tones of friends and a very good social life. Does that mean that I am pushing people away from being too close? Or it's just that I'm picky?

You don't like being told what to do, you don't like people watching your every move, you don't want to be bothered with someone always hanging around you? I have three brothers and one sister but i am the youngest by ten years so i grew up basically as an only child. I am a husband and father (Of ONE) and i find myself frustrated with my lack of alone time. I think only children are brought up with the attitude...this is mine...that is mine no one bothers what you have when your a child and you don't have to worry about sharing your things. Only children are more selfish it is true but that doesn't mean you have to be anything different than what you are just because you are an only child. Do what makes you happy because in the end that is all that really matters.

the one and only child is an abusive child when grown up. He is spoiled of anything and what he thinks is that he can do whatever he wanted to do without thinking whether he is wrong or he is right. when times comes that his father and mother dies, he will feel very lonesome, lonely and blue

As an only child, you may find that you are more mature than people of a similar age. It may change one day, when you meet the right person.
