Because the magic switch that instantly solves problems is broken.
Or, it could be that now that they actually have majority control, they can begin working on plans for a troop removal, and that takes time, and expecting instant change is unrealistic.
Give ti sometime, let's see what ideas they have, and maybe now the Republicans will support the Democrats the way that the Republicans insisted the Democrats should have been supporting them, as the majority party.
Or we'll wait to see if a Democrat is elected in '08, and then we'll see if the Republicans remember their admonishment of 'support the President'.

This is why I despise partisan politics.

Who doesn't want to bring the troops home from Germany ? As far as Iraq, maybe it is not time to yet. Or maybe the majority of them do not feel it is the right thing to do.

Interesting, the way you process information.

So, when you think about our troops stuck in the hell that is Iraq, you think that it is the doing of the Liberals?

I HOPE!

Because we weren't in control of any of the levels of government that have the ability to bring the troops home, and because we don't all agree they should come home at the same time.

They will not, they Know the truth, they just need to keep the wackos happy. All they need is an excuse to put the mad dogs at bey. Expect a Bombing somewhere that justifies the actions. The bombings always happen, it will just now have the media coverage to sell it.
