I am not sure what you mean by biology project, it is very generalized, but here are a few sugestions. You can demonstrate how soda has an effect on the human body, all you need is food coloring, baking soda, carbonated water, a piece of raw beef that represents a human organ hypothetically, and put all the ingredients together to show a demonstration of how the body reacts after too much soda intoxication. A trick of the trade? For reactionary reasons put a piece of alka seitzer in the center of the beef where no one can see it, then drop the beef in the home-made "soda" and tell the observers this is what soda/liquor can do to your body if you consume too much of it.

Other ideas include:
The Human Taste Buds and Bubblegum
The Effects of Smoking on the Human Lungs
The Benefits of Cardivascular Excercise
What Foods Should Humans Eat

all of these projects require little money and the items are easily accessible, and most of these projects you can experiment on yourself or your friend ad record the data right at home. Good luck!

I saw an excellent science fair project where the topic was the affect of smoking on your lungs. The experimenter created an apparatus to represent the lung, using a large clear soda bottle (with the wrapper peeled off) with cotton balls inserted at the bottom. They then made a hole in the cap that was capable of holding cigarettes, and simulated the lungs smoking different quantities by lighting cigarettes and squeezing the pop bottle to represent breathing.

Obviously, you would need someone over 18 to buy the cigarettes. This is a good project due to the abundance of research on smoking, but it isn't a good idea if you or your friend are allergic to smoke.

Good Luck!
