It has been a question since the Bible times, something to the effect of why do the wicked propser when godly people go wanting.
It does seem like a lot of people do profit from greed and selfish tactics, but as Pixy said, everyone has a come uppance.
I have known miserable people with money and toward the ends of their lives, they are even more miserable. Sadly, they have not put their riches in a high degree of personal ethics, love for one another, and so on. So, in the end, their money can not comfort them, and they leave their riches for others to plunder.
That is not the way I want to wind up. I am happy to merely have enough and a little left over, and to have a life rich in friends, and to be able to sleep soundly.

I think 'seem' to prosper is correct. You find that they mostly finish up lonely and bitter people. They eventually run out of steam and begin to wonder what life is really about. They spend their lives treading on people to profit and end up old, lonely and unloved. Just like my ex.

coz thats how they roll. in the world today you have to go to those extremes to prosper and gain success. nice guys do finish last.
