you would be best off just renewing norton (1 year subscription) unless you want to get 2007 version
you'll be better protected than if you use avg or avast as some suggest.
zonealarm is a great firewall but its anti-virus is with etrust which doesnt have a great rate of success)

If you were happy with that, go for Norton internet security 2007. At the moment, they are selling for half price at PC World.

Avast is brilliant. I can't recommend it enough. It's free which is nice but also it doesn't put viruses in to your system like Norton (probably to scare you into buying their product). Which means that you can treat yourself with the money saved. Which is very nice.

The Windows firewall doesn't stop malware on your pc from dialling out.
