Softcopy - information stored in digital format, such as .doc .pdf, anything stored on your computer electronically

Hardcopy - any information in print, including something printed from your computer.

Softcopy means the detail which will be shown through degital media(viewed through pc) such as email, now when u print the email that becomes a hard copy. For more clarification IM me

a soft copy is when u send him the files
a hard copy is when print the files and send papers to him

if you send a document via email or diskette, it's called a soft copy. If you print it out and send it to your boss, it's called hard copy. thanks.
