She does hold the Job.The people have spoken. It wasn't what I voted for but it is what the country decided.I have little respect for Pelosi but she is what we have.I will hope that our government does the right thing. We will survive whether that be in better or worse condition until the next elections.
Advise is not commands as long as she can not do that I will not worry to much about the posturing.

While she used powerful words in accepting the Speaker’s gavel that wrapped herself in the flag of God-fearing American patriotism, her deeds of the past speak far louder. Pelosi is pro-homosexual marriage, pro-abortion, even pro-partial birth abortion. She has voted against tax cuts, against the Patriot Act, against allowing the words “under God” to remain in the pledge of allegiance, and against allowing public displays of the Ten Commandments. She has voted against stopping illegal immigration. And Pelosi has worked to undermine traditional marriage, even by voting against the Defense of Marriage Act in 1996.
Pelosi closed her acceptance speech with a phrase associated with the Communitarian Network when she said, “Let us all stand together to move our country forward, seeking common ground for the common good.” The Communitarian Network is a self-described “coalition of individuals and organizations who have come together to shore up the social, moral and political environment…a nonpartisan, nonsectarian, transnational association

No one knows more about military issues than G.(Bring it on!)W. Bush; including, but not limited to, the military!

The president is surrounded by incompetence. The generals have failed him, countless advisers have failed him, intelligence has failed him, the Iraqis have failed him, the people have failed him; his own father has failed him.

How many times does he have to explain to the world, how wrong everyone else is? He will be trying once more, next week, to show us how his mind works; have paper & pencils handy. There may be dire consequences, if we fail to grasp his intelligent design for the Middle East.

She is echoing sentiments by the american public who want redeployment. Remember, Bush, Cheney, Rice and Rumsfeld never went to war. The only man in the adminstration who did was Colin Powell...and they kicked him out of the cabinet.

I don't think you're giving Ms. Pelosi enough credit.

You need to check out her political history.
She's been around the block a few times, and she is no pushover.

Because for political gain our elected officials will do anything to be heard, so they can get on TV, so that you will remember their names and vote for them again. I can't say I like everything about how the Iraq war has been run but I have certainly not heard anyone with a better idea than Bush. Just leaving and ignoring the problem will not help now nor would it have helped prior to the start of the conflict.

Why not? Bush doesn't have much more of a clue,if you want my opinion! A lot of career military men never liked his choice for SecDef(the unmourned, departed Mr.Rumsfeld). We elect these idiots, left, right makes no difference and now we get to suffer until the next election cycle which won't change much of anything either!

Because the Constitution empowers her to do so.

And to be honest, she couldn't do any worse than the Chimp-in-Chief, could she? Half a trillion dollars down the drain and 3,000 dead/35,000 wounded U.S. soldiers? And more than a hundred thousand Iraqi deaths?

I think it's about time somebody put some constitutional checks on "the Decider".

Sorry if you're bothered by the simplified vocabulary. I was just trying to express my opinions using verbiage that the average Republican can understand as well.

Because if the President said the sky was blue, Pelosi would call it red and start legislation to mandate that the sky be called red from now on.
