Two things... yes, Hawaii most certainly can be hit by a Tsunami and two... I was in Hawaii two months ago, Maui to be exact, and if your thinking about living there I have to tell ya, the cost of living there is ridiculous. The rent prices are ungodly and the cost to use your air conditioning should you actually live there would blow your mind. And by the way... the price for gas two months ago when I was there wal 3.85/gallon... good luck though.

Hawaii became not suffering from an identical earthquake as Japan, besides the shown fact that it does have fairly some infants consistently because of the fact it incredibly is positioned on suited of a geothermal warm spot (hence the volcanoes.) The tsunami DID hit Hawaii, however the Islands had fairly some warning previous to the tsunami. The waves have been approximately 6-7 feet excessive and brought about some fairly minor harm, not something like in Japan, however the governor of Hawaii became in a position to declare an emergency subject so as that they might start on maintenance.

Well if that tectonic plate near Japan goes off Hawaii could be affected. Don't let fear rule your life though.

Yes it could just like any area that is next to water. So if I were you I would move to the middle of the country (if you live in the U.S.) but then you have to worry about tornados so which is worse?
