The corn used to produce fuel ethanol is not the type of corn for human consumption. More like animal feed corn.
Human greed (corruption) is more responsible for hunger then anything. We can send all the food and money we want to those countries with the worst needs. But if it never makes it to the people starving what good does that do. Look at Somalia over the past 20 years just as an example.

You've gotten the answer as to the corn, which isn't the type grown for human consumption. Now I'm interested to know what makes you think the USA is man(y) years behind (in) technology. Do you have information to back up that statement, or is it just something you invented on the spot? While you're at it, explain what you mean by "We have (given) so much away (that) we now suffer for it."

Not all corn that is grown can be used for food. Even if you produced all the corn the world ever needed, you'd still have world hunger because many governments never give the food to those who need it.
In the future, before you get upset enough to ask a question about something that seems like a simple situation, do your research. You'd be suprised at how many simple solutions aren't so simple.

World hunger would be so much more important, although if the corn being used isn't for human consumption, then there isn't much you can do. But getting back to the point, it's been researched plenty of times that not only is ethanol more expensive than gas, and collectively for its power, it gets WORSE economy than gas, someone tell me how it's a better deal?

frankly etahnol really wont take off. require way too much farm land dedicated to it just to break even. better off with bio-diesel thats based off of corn oil, peanut oil,and others.

world hunger has more to do with political forces than gas or lack of food.
