she can only sit and can't move, so i have to buy some stuff for her. i'm not very good at this sort of thing. i know heat helps, would finding a hot water bottle be a good idea? now as for tablets, this is what i want to know....what should i buy her? she's 17. in the mean time i'll give her lots of cuddles to take her mind off it! just to make sure because as i said, it couldn't be anything more than cramps right?....i'm slightly worried.

If you're looking for a drug,,I have to say, Midol (Ibuprofen) is the best drug for that.. Also, Exercise would be of real help because muscle spasm are due to less activities.. Warm water in bottles or heating pad or a nice warm bath could also help. This relaxes the muscle spasms and also alleviates cramping pain.

pamprin is good. Motrin is good tak 4 of them. Take a hot water bottle and put it on her tummy. or a hot pack.cuddling doesnt help. When im having period cramps i just want to be left alone. GIve me my narcotic meds the dr gave me, my hot pack and lay down relaxing with a cup of tea.

Aleve also known as naproxen sodium can help women with cramps tremendously but needs to be used sparingly because it is very hard on the stomach with prolonged use.

For a young person you sure are very sympathetic and caring.

Buy her extra strength midol and get her a ThermaCare heat wrap (they make some specifically for menstral cramps).

((A little chocolate might be nice too)).

Speak to the pharmacist. He will probably recommend a muscle relaxer. She should also call her doctor. He might want to prescribe something stronger.

Buy her some Advil (Ibuprofen). That's the best stuff for what ails her.

Heat helps; ThermaCare wraps for periods help; as far as medicine goes, I think aspirin helps. (Tylenol)

If she is PMS-ing, go get pamprin, or any pain killer. Heat can also help.
BUT if its not menstruation, you gotta take her to ER now.
