Use a Neutrogena Acne Free wash. It works great. Proactive doesn't work very well, and is very exspensive.Try to stick to Neutrogena products.

Proactiv works for some people, but not for all of them. I used Proactiv for 1 year and I was still waiting to see results when I stopped using it. I got some stuff at Sally's called Bye Bye Blemish that contains 10% sulphur. U just dab it on the problem area before you go to bed and when u wake up, you will see a dramatic difference. The downside to using it though, is that it will dry the skin out where you put it, so in the morning after u get up, wash your face and put on a good moisturizer to help control the dryness. Also, don't wash ur face too much, as this will also cause your face to break out even more bc naturally ur face has to have a little oil on it and when u keep washing that oil away it causes ur skin to produce twice the oil, causing your pores to stay clogged.and blemishes to form. Good Luck!

Try not to stress, cuz that's how u get it from ur hormones or something. I use Clearasil and it works really well. Ive only used the cream where it like makes the zit disapper. It works really well, now i have no more acne at all!
Another good i dea is to keep hair of ur face ur the place that u have the pimples. The oil from ur hair can also cause acne. Well Good luck!

There are lots of good products on the market. What you need to do is keep your face clean. I would suggest some sort of cream like Noxzema or a scrub if it's real oily or lot of acne. (Swiss Ives apricot scrub is good) A scrub may contain little exfoliating beads like sand, but they will remove all the dead skin each time. Then follow with acne cream of choice. I would avoid makeup till your skin heals as this will aggravate it all over again while you are trying to clear it. if your skin is shiny after doing this I would use only a LITTLE face powder. VERY LIGHT or you will clog pores you just opened. Skin must breath to be healthy and heal.

I have an acne treatment that has won me the best answer better then fifteen times. Often, the person who voted it the best answer was amazed at how well it worked, even those who had severe cases of acne. I'll copy and paste it below.

Use a hot compress on it, and then use cool water to close the pores. Do the process over and over again, about five or six times. Use soap to wash the area, and then treat it with an alcohol soaked cotton ball. It should be gone within five to six hours.

Here are some of the previous comments I got from those who voted it as the best answer,

Well, first off,i disagree with the people who say to use neutrogena face wash or whatever,if you have moderate to severe acne neutrogena isn't going to cut it.I went to my doctor and she prescribed me 3 things.Erythromucin( a pill that will clear up your face in around 4 to 5 days) this is a short term solution. She told me to wash my face with Spectro or Cetaphil,I was also given a cream called Differin that works great as well.Go to your doctor and see if these will work for you,if not,(s)he'll prescribe something else.

Neutrogena acne wash does work well. Use it twice a day and you'll see your acne reduce in a month.

I used Proactiv for 2 years and it really cleared up my face. I stopped using it because it gets a little expensive after awhile. I now use Olay face wash with a scrubby face sponge and after that I use Olay sensitive skin lotion. That works pretty well for me.
