No all diesel engine's use fuel injection.

No, its not possible. The diesel engine requires the diesel to be sprayed into the combustion chamber which is why the injectors are used instead of carbs. There are different technologies available in the injectors.

no they have injectors. the fuel is injected directly into the cylinder. the high pressure in the cylinder causes the fuel to ignite. diesel wont burn from a spark. diesel engines have a much higher compression ratio then petrol engines

no,and never have. diesels require fuel to come in under pressure,because the fuel is ignited just after the compression stroke. the fuel isnt ignited with electricity,but with heat.and in order to have the heat the air inside the cylinder is compressed which makes it hot.at that point fuel is pushed into the cylinder. a carb wont provide anywhere near enough force to fuel the engine

Back in the WWII era, there was a bulldozer named a TD-18 that had a carburator to start and then you shifted the cam lever to chop the carb and dump the compression relief and transfer over to diesel.
