I used to believe that objects have a life of their own and they suffer if you hurt them...

That I had the powers of any superhero I read about in comic books. I just had to try hard enough and I would learn to use these powers. I spent many a day making my eyes blurry and then uber focused to get my heat ray vision to work. Then they told me there was no Santa and these beliefs went out with the bathwater of cynicism.
Every now and then though, I feel I can fly ;)

I believed that there were 10 giants in the world and they could come anytime and gobble up people (and especially little children). I know now that I got the idea of giants from a painting by Goya - but why 10? That remains a mystery to this day.

I was thinking that when we were in the beginning of the 21th century, we were in a futurist world where car could fly and that kind of things where science was far more advanced.

I believed in santa clause, I was ticked when I found out that it was a lie. Christmas wasn't the same after that.

I too thought that dolls were real living things. At night they had little get togethers, waking up to find them right where I left them kinda blew that thought.

I remember thinking once, that the only thing really, real, was going on where ever I was, and the rest , that I could not see, really didn't exist.

i use to believe that there was sort of a parallel universe where everything in our universe was to the left of everything in the other universe. Like everything had a copy of itself right next to itself.
