Everyday when i take my dog for a walk, i gaze at the night sky..with all those stars. For some reason it makes me extremelly calm and peaceful. Makes me feel that everything is ok in this world...I forget all my worries for that instant. So peaceful.
Do any of you feel this way when and if u gaze at the night sky??
I Don't think my family shares my views.....do any of u??

Yes, gazing at the stars in night sky is very calming and peaceful. I find that as well. At such times I normally think about the people I love or miss.

Nobody has actually answered the real question here which is why I will fill you in. Why do we climb up mountains only to admire the view? Why do we arrange our evening around the sunsetting? Why is sitting in a field of flowers so calming? Why does looking up at the stars at night have this calming effect?
The answer is because beauty soothes. Anything that is beautiful has this soothing effect. This is why women are so good at decorating the home, they make a house look beautiful. there is nothing better than comming home from a hard days work only to to be soothed by a house that is beautiful, and the best part is to see that beauty radiat from your wife. Women were made to radiate beauty. Most of them conseal it because of the women lib which is a shame. We need women to be women, we need them to stop trying to be men and to radiate the beauty that is within them :-)

Absolutely! The sky is the most beautiful and awesome sight in this world! I know what you mean. It's God's Creation and awe-inspiring. Sometimes early in the morning, I look out my back window, (at dawn) and I stare out at the sunrising. The sky is totally lined with orange, red, purple and blue. It is peaceful and tranquil. Don't we have an awesome God!

Love looking up at the night sky and all of it's vast beauty, gives me a peaceful feeling and also makes me realize how small we all really are..So no you are not weird at all...

the heavens/cosmos is our metabolizing/manifesting/creative counter part to our existence, if it can not be seen as a giant gear system that allows this experience to continue and grow, than peace has definitely been unseen, accept this feeling further, something great is finding you. The gravity of love, is holding everything together just as it must, so let go of your fear, you may find eternal bliss.

mhm. i love looking at the sky. i go on my roof sometimes and eat oatmeal while looking at the stars. i also love tracking constellations and asterisms and stuff :D
