Did we evil carbon units anger mother nature by releasing satanic gasses into the atmosphere, and if we offer up our internal combustion engine as a sacrifice, will this placate her?

Very funny. But you're a smart one. You're not going to be fooled by all the hype.

Remember the Bible says the earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof.

Um, no.

As far as "hysteria" goes, consider this - when I was growing up 20 years ago, NY would occasionally have snow by Halloween. Definately by mid-November.

It's now the new year, we haven't had snow that's lasted more than a few hours, and it was in the 60s over the weekend. People can argue all they want about the effects of green house gasses, but when you can look out your window and *see* that the weather is messed up, something is clearly wrong.

Are there rituals associated with it?
No
Are their deities associated with it? Aside from your nannering, no.
Pagan? Well, Pagans don't believe in Satan, so whatever. Alot of Pagans don't believe in global warming. And frankly, I don't see any hysteria either. Whether global warming is real is irrelevant. The Earth will go on long after it has ceased to become habitable. There are lots of reasons that have nothing to do with global warming to stop crapping all over the planet.

The Bible tells man to care for the Earth in its first chapter. After all, according to the myth, God created it for Man. Do you render all the presents you get unusable? Naughty child. I wouldn't be making anymore stuff for us if I were God.

The only pagan religious cults are the pro-business nut cases who will sacrifice anything on the altar of keynesian capitalism.

Oh, that's good! One of the better ones I've heard but probably not too far off the mark. So, does it include getting naked and dancing around the trees? That was always my favorite part.
