We have letting agencies in Britain but they tend to overcharge. Well. it is Britain, remember.

The management company will want 10% of the rent. If you live in the same city and the house is in good shape just do it yourself. Just do a really good screening job on the applicants. I manage three of my own here in town and I work full time.

Contact a few local estate agents; many of them have a lettings side to the business. they can sort out the legal paperwork and charge you a percentage of the monthly rental.

You could try being sneaky and posing as someone looking to rent a property - see how they treat their customer base.

call the realtors in your area, ask for the single family division. they handle renting and leasing of homes.
