i had a crazy experience once at the cinema with my friends when i was 18. there was about 10 of us who went to see 'clueless' at our local theatre; about half of us took some strong hallucinogenic drugs (me included) and the other half got very drunk.
i was fine until the patterns in the carpet in the cinema foyer started moving, and i freaked a bit and had to go and sit in my seat in the theatre itself. everyone else joined me eventually and it was madness. i had a couple on either side of me just kissing the whole time, my drunk friends were running up and down the aisles, shouting and lobbing popcorn at each other and at the screen, and i couldn't move- couldn't even stand up as my legs wouldn't work! the only thing i remember of the film was the fruitopia advert at the beginning.
i can't remember if any 'general public' types were in the same film with us, but no-one complained! unless i hallucinated the whole thing! nah it definitely happened cos it's one of our favourite anecdotes at the civilised parties we have these days!
i spent the whole film trying to stand up every few minutes to see if my legs would decide to work, not quite understanding why my other friends kept running past me. thankfully my legs came back to life by the end of the flick, and we escaped unharmed...
them were the days...

Me and my friend played a trick on the folks watching the original showing of 'Friday The 13th Part 2' at the Plaza Twin in Dalton, GA. Just before the movie ended, my friend went on outside and put a pillow case with a hole in it over his head. When the movie was over, I held open the exit door and we let about 10 people get out before my friend JUMPS into view, looking just like Jason Voorhees, and scares the living crap out of EVERYONE! LOL! Then we took off running to the nearby woods as people watched stunned, screaming and laughing. We'd already seen the movie over 10 times ourselves and we thought we were in trouble by the theatres manager (who kinda knew who we were cause we went to the movies everyday - matinee was only one dollar for kids and nobody cared back then about a 12 year old seeing a Rated R movie). But, anyway, not only did we NOT get into trouble. The next year, when Part 3 in 3-d came out, the theatre manager thought back to the excitement our little trick had caused the previous year, and brought in a casket with a 'professional' playing Jason laying in the casket and he would jump up at people as they walked passed the concession stand...lol He should've just hired me and my friend ;-)
